Dreamz II Reality Reality Show, May 25th, 2011

DIIR052211 169Cruisin’ Photography’s next event of the season was on May 25th at Dreamz II Reality’s Reality Show, held at the Porter and Chester site in Rocky Hill, CT. Dave and I were invited to be vendors at the show, originally scheduled for May 15th until Mother Nature intervened, so we were glad to see a dry day on the 25th. The DIIR crew set the bar high with a good turnout of about 125 cars and lots of extremely attractive trophies.

It was good to see so many teams in attendance, including Game Over, Low-N-Furious, CT’s Xotics, High Life Creationz, Hard Hittin’ Lowz, BDC Auto Club, Park City Customs, Eastern Connections, Unique Touch, CT’s Most Wanted, Expensive Limitz and Elusive Ryderz. Dave and I got to renew some old friendships and make quite a few new ones.

Among the cars I especially liked were the Avatar-themed Pontiac of “Spanish Harlem” from Unique Touch. He had mentioned his plans for the winter and I think the car came out really well. Sam and Laura Vega arrived in Sam’s new toy, a stunning copper-colored 2006 Nissan 350Z. I can’t wait to see the plans they have for it.

Todd Vaillancourt was off doing his duties promoting vanning, so Mary Odom arrived in Vanformer, a ride I always find impressive. She left with a trophy to add to Vanformer’s growing collection.

Dave and I took turns manning our display table so we each got the chance to get up close and personal with the show cars, and owners. A couple of impromptu photo shoots developed with Low-N-Furious and Elusive Ryderz.

Our table was paid a visit by Junior Mendez who put us in front of his camera, instead of him being in front of ours. We got our own back later on when we made him pose for a team shot with the guys from Capitol City Riders!

Club-of-the-Day went to Game Over, while CT’s Xotics earned Most-Repped Club. Larry Marks’ Indian received the Best Bike trophy, which was sponsored and presented by Gary Lambert, of Northeast Cycles.

Hard Hittin’ Lowz president Sergio Ortiz cleaned up, earning three trophies, including Best of Show – Car.

DIIR will be staging another Reality Show on September 18th at the Porter and Chester site in Chicopee, MA.
