Vindicator Cycles Car Cruise and Bike Show, September 10th, 2011

VIND091011 030Since Dave and I didn’t want to miss the last cruise of the summer at Vindicator Cycles in Cromwell, we headed there from Palmer Field. We went inside the store to see Tony Schiavone, Gary Collin and Tony’s dog, Harley. I teased Tony about the latest issue of The Cromwell/Middletown Chronicle and asked if he had seen Dave’s article and photographs from Middletown Motorcycle Mania. Public Relations Officer Gary brought over a framed copy of the article Dave wrote for the Chronicle on the first Vindicator car/bike show. It looked so good! 6th Annual Middletown Motorcycle Mania, August 10th, 2011

MBN081011 112Wednesday, the weather held off and more than 4,000 motorcycles, from Baggers to Busas and everything in between – converged on Main Street, Middletown for a bike night of spectacular proportions.

Vinnie wouldn’t let me leave their booth before I had taken a couple of key chains and literature about the club. He also got some of the members together for a photo – thanks guys! I see you have a Hartford County Chapter…that gives me ideas! Continue reading

Springfield Motorcycle Show, January 22nd, 2011

SMC 012211 006Saturday January 22nd saw Kathy and I shake off the winter blues, give snow shoveling a break and head north to the Springfield Motorcycle Show held at the Eastern States Exposition in Springfield, MA. After checking in at the media office, we entered the hall and Kathy’s first experience at a bike show began.

Straight away we ran into fellow CT Cruise News photographer Dexter Balyeat. Dex is also the Special Events Co-ordinator with Haymond Law and had the enviable job of staffing their booth with Amanda Gosselin and the rest of the Haymond Law girls. While we were there, Dex introduced us to show organizer Doug Sousa. Doug told us that he was extremely pleased with the attendance. He was even happier when we told him about the 100+ yard line of show visitors waiting patiently to buy tickets. Continue reading
